This annual event commemorates the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and provides an opportunity to reflect on the importance of peace, remembrance, and hope for the future. We welcome community members of all ages to join us as we come together to honour those affected and promote a message of peace.

The event will also feature a community screening of Giovanni's Island, an award-winning animated film that explores the impact of war through the experiences of two young brothers. The screening offers a meaningful opportunity to reflect on the human impact of conflict and the importance of peace.

The Regina & Fujioka Friendship Committee (RAFFCOM) is pleased to announce that a variety of Japanese children’s books may now be requested from any library in Saskatchewan to be delivered to your home library.
