Folkfest is a three-day festival that celebrates Saskatoon's cultural diversity. The SJA operates the Japanese Pavilion, offering visitors an immersive experience of Japanese food, performances, and culture. Guests can enjoy sushi, kakigori (shaved ice), sake, and imported Japanese beer, while browsing Japanese souvenirs and anime merchandise. The pavilion also features hands-on cultural activities, including origami, a photo booth with traditional garments such as kimono and yukata, and live performances such as karate demonstrations, Japanese dance, and taiko drumming.
